Reference: What Is Extraverted Thinking? (Te)
Individuals who have Te in their ego, are called extraverted thinkers.
These people are rational thinkers because they use data, statistics and reference points to make a true/false decisions.
To understand how Te operates you can imagine that in the rational thinkers mind there exist 100 tables, all of which judge whether a particular information is true or false. If the majority of the tables determine that the information is true, then it's true to the Te user. For example if 55 out of 100 tables rule that the information is true, then it's true.
Therefore, it does not actually matter if the issue is actually true, it the belief that a particular information is true.
For that reason, rational thinkers need to gather as much external data as possible because more data means better accuracy of thought.
Therefore, they tend to read many books and surround themselves by smart people.
Socially, Te users want other people to think well of them. Their thinking is connected to how they feel. Therefore, whenever somebody makes them look bad in public, they will immediately hate them because they will start feeling bad about themselves.
Relevant notes:
PN: Raw extraverted thinking (Carl Jung): The purpose of thinking is to judge wether a particular information is true or false.
PN: The extraverted type (Carl Jung): An extravert is objective because it's guided by data outside the individual.
