PN: How to get into flow

Reference:

Flow is a state of deep immersion into the task which is performed. Everybody was in a state of flow, it happens when you lose track of time because you're so engaged in an activity. To achieve flow the task should be challenging enough.

Principles of flow:

  1. Clarity of goal in the micro and in the macro. It's way easier to do something when you have a clear goal. You need short-term and long-term commitments, think of video games.

PN: One thing massive consequences: the one thing question can help you prioritize the topic that will make the biggest difference.

  1. Challenge. It should be neither too easy nor too hard. It should be hard enough for the skill set the person has. It should be something like this: "It's likely that I won't achieve it but it's possible that might achieve it"
  1. Distraction is the enemy of flow. Focus on a single task. Remove everything that could disturb your focus.
