PN: Ideas are futile unless integrated by the individual

Nietzsche despised the majority of scholars. He said that they were merely mirrors, only reflecting everything that they had learned, never having generated anything on their own. He meant that an idea was futile unless it was integrated by the individual.

I interpret the integration of an idea as understanding it. Because understanding means connecting new information to previous information in a meaningful way. Such information becomes an integral part of your brain structure and can not be forgotten anymore.

One of the best ways to understand, and therefore integrate an idea is to write.
