PN: The size and density of a network determine its creativity

Reference:

Ideas are networks of neurons that fire in sync with each other.

New ideas are networks neurons that explore new combinations of connections in your brain. Once they reach a certain size, a new idea pops into your head.

That said, there are two characteristics that determine the frequency and quality of new ideas popping into your head.

First, the size of the network—the number of neurons that are capable of connecting. In that regard, creativity is like cooking—the more ingredients you have, the more dishes (ideas) you can cook.

Second, the number of connections that have formed between these neurons. The quantity of connections give the network plasticity and ability to adopt new configurations.

If you want to become more innovative, then you must place yourself inside environments that share these two characteristics. In surrounding where ideas are plentiful and their circulation and exchange are facilitated. PN: Environment for idea generation

Relevant notes:

PN: You are the sum of all things that connect to you: These two characteristics - number of neurons and number of connections can be extrapolated to power. Power is number of people and number of connections between them.

PN: Environment for idea generation: Environments that facilitate idea generation are liquid - there is a big influx of ideas and they can flow freely and combine in many, unpredictable ways.
