It should be natural, consequential, authentic, coming from within; it should be like fruit growing out of a tree, like a stream coming out of a spring, like Michael Jordan playing basketball.
To be that way, you need to internalize a lot of information. By internalizing I mean to consume, process, and act it out in some form or manner—either by implementing, writing, or teaching. The more you do it, the more "nutrients" you will absorb to bear the fruits of new, original, and authentic ideas.
PN: Internalization leads to expertise: internalization moves information into the intuition, maybe that's why it then flows out so effortlessly.
P: Bring the metaphysical into the physical: usually you'll learn (and internalize) most by actually doing stuff.
Why does internalization lead to the prolific "flowing out" of ideas? Because when you internalize stuff, it gets pushed deeper into your mind, it becomes your intuition. Once it is deep inside your mind, it can mix and mingle with other things—ideas, emotions, memories, etc—that were already present (which is a prerequisite for creativity). Because your internal environment is unique, you will likely churn out original and authentic ideas. In that regard, internalization is imperative for original thought. (wow, this was great, original writing here, btw.,)
P: Writing is a tool to explore your mind: sometimes you need to trigger ideas that are hiding in the back of your mind; writing is a tool to excavate them.
PN: Most new ideas are incomplete: by internalizing you're increasing the chances of completing a nascent idea.
PN: You need external input for serendipity: new internalized ideas can also act as triggers that release ripe ideas that were longly held in your unconscious.
PN: Feed the mind and wait: ideas are mixing continuously in the back of your mind, eventually they'll appear.

P: NSD: No Synthetic Dopamine: NSD helps you "catch" those authentic ideas when they come.
