PN: Win through your actions, never through argument

Winning an argument through words is only a short-term win. You will create more anger and resentment and the change of their opinion will likely be only temporary. It's way better to demonstrate your arguments through actions because it's hard to argue with results.

P: To persuade change the environment, not the person: the results of your actions have an impact on the environment.

PN: People say yes to those they like (liking principle): people say yes to those they like. You you make people angry or resentful they will be less likely to agree with you.

However, before you even get into an argument, determine if it is worth it. The majority of battles are useless. If either the person has no influence or they will understand your point once time passes the argument is not worth the effort because you always risk harming your reputation and losing time during such acts.
